Princess Castle Cake

So my little princess celebrated her 6th birthday, which obviously involved the request of a lavish princess cake. After much searching on Pinterest, I got a few ideas that I would try out. The best one I  found was one waffle cone turned upside down on to a classic ice cream cone to create an awesome looking tower. Using Candy Melts from Michaels, sprinkles, ice cream cones, and a little tube of green icing & a tube of brown icing (i'm lazy didn't have the time to make my own)

All I did was take my pink candy melts, throw a dozen in the bottom of a pyrex measuring cup, fired it in the microwave for a minute, stirring at 30 seconds. Then with a butter knife i coated the ice cream cones with the candy melts, sprinkled pretty shimmery sugar sprinkles. They were dried up fairly quickly in a matter of minutes. Then I squeezed out some green icing in a jagged line up the side of the cones, added a brown little window and some flower sprinkles and volia!
It wasn't perfect but my little girl loved it and thought it was fantastic, and I know I put in some effort.

Pink & white marshmallow stairs, a graham cracker door with gel icing squeezed all over it.

Graham crackers covered in candy melts with sprinkles for the drawbridge, of course with candy necklaces, the columns are 2 ice cream cones connected at the ends covered again with the candy melts and sprinkles.

We added a little Rupunzel figurine hanging out of the top tower.

We also had an extra table cloth that I taped to the ceiling and cut down the centre, then pulled back and secured with extra pink princess tiaras.

And of course we had to try the balloon cascade for when our princess woke up on the morning of her big day. I chose to use extra paper ribbon instead of plastic, so she could smash thru the ribbons, like the finish of a race!

We did some birthday grab bags for her kindergarden classmates, I used a photo ap to add words to a picture I had taken, then printed them out and added stickers for names and attached them to her bags.

Garlic Chicken Sausage Focaccia Pizza

Ingredients
Focaccia Bread, any amount you would like to make
1 Can of Tomato Paste, with any flavouring you like
Cheese, I like Marble
Garlic Chicken Sausage, skin removed and sliced

I like to shop in Local Mom& Pop stores to support my neighbourhood: I found this awesome Garlic Chicken Sausage at K&K European Market in Edmonton on Whyte Ave, they smoke the process & meats themselves..super yummy & fresh!

Bought the Focaccia Bread at Planet Organic for super cheap:

I prefer spiced tomato sauce:

This Recipe is totally awesome because you can add whatever you have on hand to the toppings, whatever you like to eat. Its way easier & quicker then making your own pizza crust too.

I Like to Cook the Sausage first for a few quick mins in a skillet until slightly brown:

Simply cut your Focaccia Bread, & Spread your Tomato Paste on it

Place the cooked sausage on the Focaccia bread:

Grate your Cheese on top of the bread:

Bake in the Oven a 350 degrees for about 5 mins or until melted:

So Yummy, Quick & Versatile. Easy enough kids can help. Enjoy!

10 Minute Turkey Stew

10 Minute Turkey Stew

Alright all you busy people, you have no time to cook but want to make a yummy & healthy meal, this is your answer, 10 Minute Turkey Stew! You only need a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients:
1 Can of Campbells Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 Cup of Half & Half Cream
1 Package of "Lou's Quick-N-Easy Slow Roasted Turkey"
1 Cup of Any kind of Mixed Veggies, I use frozen Green Giant Mixed Veggies
Approx. 200 g of Egg Noodles
Salt & Pepper

Set a large pot of water to a boil, throw the Lou's Turkey in the microwave for 4 mins, add Egg Noodles & Mixed Veggies to the boiling water, cook until al dente ( this is only about 9 mins)...

...While the noodles and veggies are boiling take the cooked Lou's Turkey out of the microwave and chop up into 1/2 tsp sized chunks, Strain Egg Noodles & Veggies leaving about 1/4cup of the water in, add Mushroom Soup, Half& Half Cream & your now chopped Lou's Turkey, let heat up about a minute, add Salt & Pepper to taste.

I feel almost guilty that Turkey Stew this good tasting can be made so quickly & easily.
